The picturesque Forest Park and Wildlife sanctuary is home to a variety of native species of flora and fauna, as well as a magnificent herd of wild deer. It is an excellent setting for relaxing walks, scenic picnics and beautiful nature trails. Within the park there is a historic abbey dating back to the 15th century.
Watersport enthusiasts will enjoy a range of aquatic activities including jet skiing, sailing, wind-surfing, boating, and swimming, power-boat racing and cruising while for those who prefer fishing the tranquility of Lough Derg offers an ideal opportunity.
